Ian is the baby of The Heritage Boys, having been born when he was very young. He is the only true bred Yorkshireman in the band, though he has neither a whippet nor a flat cap - but lives not too far from Ilkley Moor.

Ian is a man of many talents and interests. Among other things, he is an artist, a wood carver, a keen supporter of Wharfedale Rugby Union Football Club and, of course, a guitarist and singer. How did he ever find time to work as a civil servant for 35 years?

Ian was in an Irish band for many years, but now enjoys playing pop with The Heritage Boys - though he does sneak in a few 'folky' numbers!
